'A SILVER AMORE' , Assisted Living Elder Care Home, is a Start Up, Social Enterprise, upcoming elder care facility near #Mumbai is looking for Resident Manager, details given below:


Post: Resident Manager


Place :  UTTAN, Bhayandar West


Work days and Time: 6 Days a week, But as this is Resident Manager Position, it may require 24 x 7 monitoring. Sunday Working.


Time :  9.30am to 6pm


Package: Salary Rs.15,000/- + Accommodation for Single at Site + Food + local mobile .


Probation: 3 months


Commitment: Minimum 2 years


Joining: Candidates who can Join Immediately or 1st Nov 2015, should only apply  


Qualification:  Graduate / Post Graduate in Social Work, Sociology.
Qualification in Mental Health, Nursing, Gerontology, Psychology, Para Medical will be an added advantage.


Age Limit: 25yrs and above


Experience: Minimum 1 year, A Fresher with long term commitment and mindset will also be considered. Experience in Elder care facility/homes will be an added advantage.


Requirement:
Candidates must be dynamic, articulate, Quick learner , self starter and with passion for working with elderly.
Job involves looking after day to day affairs and logistic, interacting with residents, screening new applicants, home visits, overseeing subordinate staff, handling accounts and ensuring smooth functioning of the facility.
Must be computer literate, with good oral and written communication skills in English.
Job entails report preparation, proposal making, activity like creativity music, dance etc and counseling of residents and family members. Must be prepared to work beyond office hours if required.
Preference will be given to residents of nearby areas.
A caring understanding attitude with a positive mind set and Empathetic attitude towards all, and with ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
Commitment to work for Elderly is a primary requisite. Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is must; any other language will be added advantage.
A Resident of Maharashtra state will be preferred.
2 Wheeler driving license an advantage.



Roles and Responsibility:
Co-ordination of the project
Coordination with resource persons, medical professionals
Day to day affairs including housekeeping , kitchen , garden,
Staff supervison , subordinate staff, AMC etc
Screening new applicants , Admission procedures
Home visits of prospective residents
Interaction with Family members
Conducting and Managing Activities and Programmes
Writing reports/proposals/documentation
Managing and coordinating with volunteers
Representing organization at various forums
Accounts handling
Counseling
Attending conference/seminar
Organizing programme /events such as Workshop, Lecture, Talks, Camps
Coordination with government and local authorities
Handling CSR projects
Networking with NGO’s and organizations
Advocacy
Organising Fund Raising & Events
Ensuring overall smooth functioning of the ‘A SILVER AMORE’
Emergency calls and situation to be handled
Any other role function that will be given to you by the Management
Reporting to The President / Directors

About Project: 
A SILVER AMORE home is for Senior citizens who need 24 x7 care in activities of daily living and basic nursing supervision and medication management care. This Elder Care Home Facility for Dementia / Alzheimer’s , Bed Ridden, Immobile and Assisted Living Elders. There will be maximum 28 residents and estimated 10 to 15 staff.


It is strategically located in the coastal town of Uttan, just north of Mumbai in Thane district of Maharashtra, and comes under the jurisdiction of the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC), The home is spread across a property of about approx 1 acre with proximity to a scenic beach, it has 12 spacious rooms, plus 2 luxury rooms, staff quarters, Camp side and a office space. Each room is well furnished with two single beds, a cupboard, a common side table and an attached WC and with a common dining and activity space.


We provide supervised and assistance with activities of daily living. We will monitor and supervise activities of resident to ensure their overall health, safety and well being (physically & emotionally). Assistance may include individualized administration or supervision of medication as per medical advice and personal care services will be provided by our trained staff.


We have endeavored to create a holistic peaceful scenic environment, pollution free atmosphere, with ample provision for greenery, an activity cum common dining area, camp side and a calm and soothing environment, which will help residents to live happily in their silver years.
A SILVER AMORE home is committed to deliver a person centric care plan, so as to improve the quality of life, thereby promoting recovery and healing and giving hope to all our senior residents.

2nd to 8th Oct : Collection and Distribution of Letters, Post Cards, Greeting Cards from various school made by Partners of Daan Utsav to Old Age Home Residents at Borivali East, Andheri West, Sion, Bhayandar West and Nalasopara west.

On the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day on 21st Sep 2015 Silver Inning Foundation and ARDSI Greater Mumbai chapter in association with Sophia College, Pushpa Ma Foundation, Eisai Pharma, The Metrognome, TISS, Nirmala Niketan College of Social work, Silver Innings Helpline, Nair Hospital Occupational Therapist(OT)Dept , Bhaktivedanta Palliative Care and ‘A1 Snehanjali’ assisted living elder care home, Invites you for #WAM 2015 International World Alzheimer's Month Programme, to create awareness about Dementia and Alzheimer’s in city of Mumbai and nearby area. 


September 2015 is the fourth global World Alzheimer’s Month™, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma.


The theme for World Alzheimer's Month 2015 is Remember Me. We're encouraging people all around the world to learn to spot the signs of dementia, but also not to forget about loved ones who are living with dementia, or those who may have passed away.


The impact of September’s campaign is growing, but the stigmatisation and misinformation that surrounds dementia remains a global problem.


This event is FREE and Open for Family members, Students, Counselors, Medical and Social Work Professionals, Person suffering with Dementia / Alzheimer’s, Senior Citizens & Interested individuals, with Prior Registration ONLY.
