India is facing the second nationwide wave of Covid-19 pandemic, which has prompted some states to reimpose strict curbs, including partial and complete lockdowns, to tackle the contagion. And Lock down and Restrictions also come sufferings of daily wage earners, Senior Citizens, Homeless, Corona Positive, Transgender etc.
When the coronavirus pandemic began early in 2020, experts wondered if there would be waves of cases, a pattern seen in other virus pandemics. The overall pattern so far has been one of increasing cases of COVID-19, with a surge in the summer and a larger one in the fall. Some locations that saw a high number of coronavirus infections early on, followed by a decline, are having a “second wave” of increased cases. Human behavior is the major factor. State and local governments, as well as individual people, differ in their response to the pandemic. Some follow COVID-19 precautions, such as physical distancing, hand-washing and mask-wearing. Heartbreaking stories are coming in from across India as a second Covid wave wreaks havoc. Data suggests that this wave is proving to be more infectious and deadlier in some states, although India's death rate from the virus is still relatively low.
Last year 2020 lockdown, our Silver Innings distributed Dry Ration to around 16 thousand including daily wage earners, Senior Citizens, Transgender, Migrant workers, Old age homes, Tribals, Animals, Orphanage etc. We Thanks all our Friends, Donors, Well wishers, Family, Partners, Police, Civil Defence, NDRF, Municipal Corporation for their their support in Kind and Material.
Once again this year 2021 we are going through Sufferings of Corona Pandemic and infact this 2nd wave has hit us hard. This time our Team has got Requirement of cooked food for people in Quarantine at their home and Dry Ration too.
So we at Silver Innings for Humanity Foundation in association with AANYO's, Making The Difference - NGO and 'MarketPlace', decided to Distribute Cooked Home Made Tiffin to people in Quarantine and Dry Ration to Daily wage earners and underprivileged.
From 19th April 2021 we have started our Relief work for this year 2021 pandemic for people in Need. We will distribute Free Ration(Grocery) and Cook home made food.
