Mumbai World Alzheimer's Day / Month 2013

The Theme for World Alzheimer's Month™ 2013:  Dementia , A Journey of Caring  

On the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day on 21st Sep 2013  ARDSI (Alzheimer's & Related Disorders Society of India) Greater Mumbai chapter in association with Silver Inning Foundation , SVT College , YWCA Andheri , Pushpa MA Foundation , St. Thomas Orthodox Church , Helpage India , Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work & A1 Snehanjali Assisted Living Elder Care Home Invites you for Month long  Programme in September 2013  to create awareness about  Dementia and Alzheimer’s in city of Mumbai and nearby area . All over India ARDSI and its networking organization will hold awareness campaign. The Mumbai event's Online Media Partner is The Metrognome  . 
This event is FREE and Open for Family members, Students, Counselors  , Medical and Social Work Professionals , Person suffering with Dementia / Alzheimer’s , Senior Citizens & Interested individuals , with Prior Registration. 
12th Sep to 28th Sep : Street Play for sensitization and awareness at various locations and Ganpati mandals in Mumbai , Navi Mumbai and Thane District by Nirmala Niketan Students of Social work in association with Helpage India and Silver Inning Foundation  
20th Sep Fri : Interactive Talk and Street Play at Asha Kiran Senior Citizens Facility , YWCA , Near Navrang Cinema , Andheri west , 11am onwards 
 21st Sep Sat : Memory Walk and Street Play at Pushpa Ma Foundation , Dada Dadi Park , Veer Savarkar Udyan , L.T.Road , Borivali west , 5pm to 6.30pm 

22nd Sep Sun : Interactive Talk and awareness campaign at St Thomas Orthodox Church, S.V Road, Chincholi, Malad West , 11am to 12.30 . 
27th Sep Fri : Interactive Talk and Street  at A1 Snehanjali , Silver Innings Assisted Living Elder Care Home , D'silva Nagar , Nala Village, Nalasopara west , 4pm to 5.30pm . Contact  9323919145 
28th Sep Sat : Sensitization Seminar  “Understanding & Respecting Individuals with Alzheimer’s” (Lecture supported with Skits, Videos  &  Poster Exhibition)  by students of Family & Child  Enrichment Center , Department of Human Development , SVT College at Mini Auditorium , SVT College , SNDT University , Juhu , 2pm to 4pm . Seniors with Alzheimer's definitely need to get some sort senior care to help take care of them. This is something that they need because without help, what is it that they are going to be able to do on their own? There is not much that they can do on their own at all.
